Plot / Storyline:

Finn McMissile, a British spy, infiltrates an oil rig owned by a group of Lemon cars to rescue a fellow spy. He sees Lemon, seemingly led by Professor Zundup, loading an electromagnetic pulse emitter, disguised as a camera, on a shipping crate. After discovering the agent who came to the rescue is dead, he runs away and pretends to be his death. Star race car Lightning McQueen and his friends travel abroad to compete in the Mater World Grand Prix race. But the road to the championship turns rocky as Mater becomes embroiled in an intriguing adventure of his own: international espionage.

Lightning McQueen is now a four-time Pistons Cup champion, following the recent death of his mentor Doc Hudson, and has returned to Radiator Springs. However, the Italian Formula race car, Francesco Bernoulli, challenges McQueen to the newly created World Grand Prix led by its creator Sir Miles Axelrod; Joe intends to promote his new eco-friendly fuel, Allinol.. McQueen and his best friend Mater – along with Luigi, Guido, Fillmore and Sarge – depart for Tokyo for the first race of the Grand Prix.
